Zac Posen for Target

OMG. I die for this look! I want the tuxedo bodysuit and skirt SO bad. I never really go crazy for any of the designer for Target lines, but Zac Posen is starting to win me over. I am definitely going to be saving my pennies so I can buy this! It is crazy cute! And that leather jacket and too shabby either. Well, I’m gonna go enjoy this amazing weather some more. Happy weekend!

LC Redemption

The last time I wrote about Lauren Conrad’s LC for Kohl’s line I was none to impressed. Well this new line shows a lot of promise. The prices are still as annoying as last time (most items ranging up to $60), but Kohl’s always has sales going at least. I don’t really want to spend too much time talking about this line, however, because I feel like it’s been talked about to death. I just wanted to give Lauren Conrad a ‘thumbs up’ for a job well done.

My Dad Thinks I’m a Cool Person

No, I haven't grown a tail, that's my kitty :)

hey Hiro, jealous of the camera much? hehe

I tried out some new eye make up today, you like?

This outfit was tres comfy. such a perfect outfit for such a nice day!

Here's a close up of my socks and boots.

I tried (and basically failed) to take a picture of my make up. like my picture in the background? I got it thrifting. It says, "ou lala paris" <3

wearing bebe cardigan, express jersey dress, belt from saks socks from target, and boots (?).

My Friday night was pretty uneventful in a yucky way. Well, instead of being all mopey and acting like a negative nancy, I decided to get all dressed up and enjoy my Saturday :)

I got these socks on clearance from Target for like $3, pretty rad, right? I like the idea of a semi-hidden sock design. It makes me feel like I have a fun secret. Oh! That belt is amazing! It’s adjustable to the extreme, which is great for me because waist belts are always too big for me (wah wah horrible problem right?), especially since I’ve gotten back in to dance. Which reminds me, I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about that on here. Well, I’m in a local dance company! I’m pretty excited about it, actually, and not just because it provides another outlet for dressing adorable. I’ve been mulling over a way to tie my ballet clothes into my blog, but I haven’t really come up with a solution (hence why this is the first you’re hearing of this).

But off of the rambling… Have you guys checked out Mademoiselle Robot’s blog? She is an adorable Parisian living in London while wearing the cutest outfits. I learned how to do a hair headband and my eye make up from her videos! It seems so much easier to learn with her adorable accent (oh no, is my Americanism showing?). Plus, she loves cats as much as I do!

I’m trying so hard not to vent about the trolls in my life but I’m afraid it’s going to slip a little. All I’m going to say about it is this:

“My dad thinks I’m a cool person to hang out with and that’s all that matters, right?”

Enjoy the rest of your weekend loves! xoxo

Hiro is obsessed with my camera, he kept knocking it over!

Blumarine Fall 2010

A leather trench? AMAZING.

This is the right amount of zebra.

These leggings are so great!

I love the train.

great dress, even better boots.

SO CUTE.

Even though this outfit is all black, it has enough detailing so it doesn't look boring.

I hate the boots with this dress, but that dress is to die for.

all images are from New York Magazine

I’m usually a big Blumarine fan, but this line I half hated and half loved. When I first started watching this show I thought, “Woah, who threw up on these designs?”  A little harsh? Maybe. There’s a lot of tassels a even more mixing of zebra prints. Ew. Just ew. But the second half is amazing with rhinestones, draping, and leather. In conclusion, just don’t let the ew get the best of you. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Look for a new post on Monday! xo emily

Alice + Olivia Fall 2010

A feather skirt? I love A + O!

The perfect girl's night out dress.

fun+flirty

This dress would be perfect to wear for my birthday!

all images are from New York Magazine

I’m in my early twenties and I can’t say there is a line that better represents that than Alice + Olivia. If you are a regular reader of my blog than you know that I worship Stacey Bendet (the designer). I think she’s the less crazy but still as much fun version of Betsey Johnson. I would buy everything and anything by Alice + Olivia.

Nina Ricci Fall 2010

I love love love this top. I think it would be a fun challenge to figure out how to take it from the runway to real life.

This top is great. It's definitely a sexy take on professional dressing.

The styling for this is amazing! I love the leather jacket with gloves and fun skirt. I'm pretty positive I would never have the courage to pull this off, but I love it just the same.

AMAZING! I want that sweater so bad! I would totally wear that sweater as a dress!

Nina Ricci totally gets flirty. This model could walk off the runway and walk outside without changing anything.

I hope these shoes go to retail! And you know me, I love a full skirt.

What a perfect outfit! That skirt is adorable.

Nina Ricci. AMAZING. I LOVE this collection! It really is a minimalist’s dream, not to mention how amazing the color pallet is. And did you notice the shoes? They are gorgeous, although they seem more like Spring shoes than for Fall. This collection kind of reminds me of Victoria’s Secret and Valentine’s Day. It’s reds and pinks in their sexiest form.

BCBG Max Azria Fall 2010

A drape sequin dress! BCBG always speaks to me!

I like this take on a the LBD. Although, I think I would cinch the waist with a black satin ribbon instead of a belt.

I love the shape of the dress. I think this piece will definitely last through seasons.

BCBG Max Azria has been a favorite designer of mine for as long as I can remember. They make the most versatile pieces that you don’t have to ever worry about falling out of style or getting bored with. I think designers stayed pretty savvy with the new collections. Even though our country is in a recession, the collections have great pieces that you can pick and choose from to update your wardrobe.

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2010

Those socks are AMAZING. MUST HAVE THEM!

I love all the different layers going on here. Everything clashes in a great way.

I love me a full skirt!

That skirt is amazing!

such great styling. I really must get my hands on a pair of those thigh high socks. LOOOVE.

Now this isn't really my cup of tea, but I definitely have to give props. This dress is fabulous.

IT’S PARIS FASHION WEEK!!! YAY!

I’m so excited to see all the neon colored tights since I was a huge fan of them when I was in elementary school. I am definitely going to have to check out the We Love Colors site for some bright tights. I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen tribal done in a way that I can appreciate it. Usually it’s too over the top and unwearable, but these pieces can really be taken into a normal persons daily life (i.e. a non fashion exec, you know, someone in middle America that doesn’t want to get gawked at while at the mall). And I’m sure you got the point, but I am dying for those socks. They are so amazing. AMAZING. Jean Paul Gaultier, you HIT it with this show. LOVE IT.

DVF Fall 2010

The styling on this outfit is perfection. I especially love the sweater and the skirt.

This coat is AHMAZING! And who can resist a drape skirt?

I love that shirt! I have one similar from bebe, but I love the updated look. The shimmer skirt is so pretty and will look good on any shape.

whaaatt.... I would die to own this.

This is a great basic dress that you can throw on and needs very little accessories.

What an amazing skirt! It is so flirty and feminine!

all images are from New York Magazine

Diane Von Furstenberg did it again! This is probably my favorite DVF collection to date. It’s fun and flirty, but can totally be translated to a professional lifestyle. Plus, I’m not gonna lie, I love the embellishments mixed with the solids (you know, basically the way I dress). I hate to say this, but the styling kind of reminds me of how Kim Kardashian dresses, especially how blazers are added to everything. I would die to get my hands on some of these pieces.

Looky Loos

Look what turned up in my email! Okay, so I got this a couple weeks ago, but I’m still super excited to see it! Chictopia sends out emails about once a week with some of the favorite pictures, and there I am first! Aws!

On a side note, happy Mardi Gras! It’s Fat Tuesday! Don’t think I’ve forgotten about fashion week, it’s in the mix. Expect to see some coverage soon!
