As I said in yesterday’s post (you can check it out here- Disneyland Anaheim 2014 Part 1), we went to the Princess Lunch at Ariel’s Grotto Restaurant. Here is a picture of me meeting Princess Minnie Mouse! I have a million other pictures with Minnie and the other princesses, but I’ll save you from that.

I’m always surprised by how much I love the tea cups ride. I literally giggle myself silly the entire ride. It was so much fun! You definitely have to ride the tea cups at night, though. The lights are just way too pretty to miss (and the lines are much shorter)!

I would definitely have to say that Fantasy Land is my favorite area of Disneyland (although ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ is my favorite ride)! The rides there just remind me of how wonderful Disneyland must have been when it first opened. You can tell how much time and energy went into each of those rides. I’m sure pretty much everything is hand painted!

Do you guys love Disneyland as much as I do? Send me a tweet (@ChiqueChic) with pictures from your trip!

We took a family trip to Disneyland Resort Theme Park in Anaheim last month and it was so much fun! My family has always been Disney junkies, so I am always pleasantly surprised when we find things to do there that I have not done before.

One of those things (and probably my favorite) was eating lunch at Ariel’s Grotto. It is called a ‘Princess Lunch’ because you get to meet and greet with Disney Princess while you eat! I’m a grown adult, but I can tell you that I took a picture with each and every one of those princesses that passed my table. I have to say, Minnie Mouse was my favorite!

We also ate at The Blue Bayou restaurant for the first time, as well. That is the restaurant that your boat floats by at the beginning of ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ ride. That restaurant was fun, too, but it really just made me want to go hop on the ride! It was definitely fun to go and now I can say, ‘I have ate there!’

I stocked up on Disney shirts before we left, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t grab some fun stuff while I was there. I mean, shopping is part of the magic of Disneyland, right?

Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow!

Grey Midi Dress

midiskirt
{grey midi dress from american eagle}

I originally ordered this dress online thinking it was a maxi dress. I was pleasantly surprised when a midi dress showed up. It is the perfect amount of sex appeal without going overboard. The cut out on the back has the perfect positioning, too!

The trick with ordering tight dresses is to order a size up. It gives you a little more forgiveness (and some wiggle room if it shrinks a little in the wash).

I think this dress is going to transition well into Fall, too. I plan on just throwing on an edgy leather jacket and hitting the road.

What’s in my Beach Bag 2014?

I always love these videos so I thought I’d share one with you guys! Here is a video about what is in my beach or pool bag! There are the normal essential items, like sunscreen and a towel, but there are also some items that you may not have thought of!

While a swimsuit is important, there are so many other items to consider. I like to keep it simple and keep my money in my Louis Vuitton card case. My beach bag is from JustFab.com.

If you like this video, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel! I put up new videos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

Short Sleeve Maxi Dress with Hat

full length maxi dress

{wearing: straw hat from local shop in hawaii, vintage gold chain necklace, patterson j. kincaid orginals short sleeve maxi dress, and madison brand tammin style bow sandals from shoedazzle}kiss maxi dress

There’s really nothing better than a sexy maxi dress in the Summer time. I am loving this one because not only is it the perfect length, but also because it has sleeves! Keep it cool and use one statement piece and you’ll be a pro at wearing a maxi dress.

Maxi dresses can be dressed up or dress down in 5 seconds flat and can be worn year round. Once the weather starts to cool down I plan on doing a series on bringing your Summer clothes into Fall, and you can believe maxi dresses will not be left off the list. We are having an intense Summer here in California. Hope you all are keeping cool even in this heat! xo – emilymaxi dress
