Actinica Sunscreen

I was recently browsing the web and came across the The Victorian Cosmetic Institute. They’re an Australian based company that specializes in non-surgical facial rejuvenation, skin, laser treatments, and liposuction. In addition to those services, they also sell skin care products. The one that really caught my eye was the Actinica Sunscreen. Now this isn’t your mother’s sunscreen. It has the highest sun protection they offer at SPF 30+ (equivalent to SPF 59)! What’s great about this product is that it prevents pigmentation because it has such a high SPF. Who doesn’t love that?

“Containing both UVA and UVB filters,  Actinica is a Medical Device Class 1 product suitable for all skin types  but especially those prone to sun burn and freckling as well as those with a history of skin cancer or with a compromised immune system. Basically it is designed as a treatment product of a high enough quality to suit the most extreme cases.”

That sounds so appealing to me because my family gets freckles SO easily. But lets get down to what’s really important, the price. At $60 this sunscreen is at the top of our budget, and while it may seem like a lot, here’s why it’s not. It comes in a pump bottle so you can control how much you use and with 160 applications per bottle, you will definitely get your money’s worth. The pump is self sealing, too, so you won’t have to worry about it drying out. What makes this product work so well is that it doesn’t penetrate your dermis so you don’t have to keep re-applying it. And to top it all off, it’s even waterproof for up to 2 hours! If you’re looking to prevent freckles or wrinkles, this is definitely my first choice sunscreen.

Have you guys tried this sunscreen? If so, did you like it? What’s your favorite sunscreen? Let me know, leave a comment!
