Last night I was invited to a TOMS Shoes “Shoes for Tomorrow” Documentary Screening and Fundraiser event. It was thrown by two local boutiques Krazy Mary’s and M.E. Boutique. Thanks for inviting me! It was such an amazing experience! Not to mention the appetizers from Bistro 33 were amazing.
After watching the documentary I was thoroughly moved. I highly recommend everyone watch it. Not to get all preachy, but did you know that 40% of the world’s population does not own a pair of shoes? I feel crazy blessed and fortunate.
TOMS Shoes is a really great company. For every pair of shoes they sell, they give away one pair to a child in need. Talk about a guilt free purchase! TOMS just launched their new line of wedges this week. They look extremely comfortable, not to mention adorable. Another added bonus, the shoes are vegan friendly. I have some vegan and vegetarian friends and they always complain to me that it is really hard to find shoes. You can get the Calypso Canvas Wedges here for $69 and the Black Siebe Perforated Nylon Classics here for $48.
Do any of you have TOMS shoes?
