So here’s the “to be continued” from my last post. So I went to my local Goodwill because it had amazing reviews as being the best one in the Sacramento area. I am gonna have to agree. As I told my friend Darsi, “This is where they’re keeping all the good stuff.” If I had infinite money and a decent sewing machine, I would have spent so much money. They had such amazing things by pretty great designers. They actually had multiples of some items, like this faux snake skin dress. I seriously considered buying all three and being triplets. There was this pretty cool 80’s blazer with the big padded shoulders, but it was a little big and I wasn’t up for spending $7 on it. Besides, I definitely want a light pink blazer. I think I will get a lot more use out of it in the long run.
What I did end up with was a lacey top by Apt 9 with the Kohl’s tags still on, the Dana Buchman skirt pictured above, and the American Eagle sweater pictured above. I also got a peach cable knit sweater by Eddie Baur. I have been wanting a good cable knit sweater for so long. It smelled like someone just washed it, too. I couldn’t resist. Plus, I was looking through my clothes and I really don’t have very many sweaters. But then again, I think I just need to go through my clothes. Oh! Plus, I got a vintage Dooney and Bourke bag and a Bally Italian leather quilted chain bag. My first designer quilted chain bag!
So I know I repeated a bunch of items in the pictures, but I wanted to show how versatile staple pieces can be. Plus I was uber excited to wear my new clothes and I was losing daylight, but let’s go with the first reason.
