Elle November

Picture 4

So when I look through a magazine I just rip the pages out that inspire me. It’s really the only thing that works for me since I prefer the entire underside of my bed not to be stacks of magazines I’ll never read again. In this November’s Elle, I found three pieces that really stuck out to me from the Elle Shops: Fashion in Film. The first two items are from the “Some Like It Hot” movie. I think these Chanel sunglasses ($510 at select Chanel Boutiques) are the coolest things ever. If I had the money I would totally buy a pair. The second item is a pair of satin sandals by Bebe ($129). I can’t believe I haven’t considered giants bows on the front of my heels yet. Insane. I really wanna go buy some ribbon and just update a pair of my own old boring strappy sandals. And then the third item is from the “Shanghai Express” movie, the swarovski-crystal-detail feather headband (say that three times fast) by Jennifer Behr ($128 from jenniferbehr.com). In case you don’t know, Jennifer Behr makes the most amazing headbands ever. Unfortunately they’re all usually priced above $100.

And yes, all of the items are black and white, but this time I have an excuse! The article is

“A round-up of the best monochromatic styles inspired by our favorite black-and-white films—from Shanghai Express to Casablanca.”

You can check it all out on Elle’s website here.
